YWAM Global Gateway. There is a place for you in our Great Commission community.
YWAM Global Gateway is unified in seeing the restoration of man; we provide a safe place of refuge and equipping to enable people to walk in the fullness of Jesus Christ.
Like restoring a masterpiece, restoration is a gradual process of intentionally returning to our true identity in Christ Jesus. While receiving guidance and support from the community, we can choose to be restored through holistic personal discipline and the Holy Spirit.
Like the Ark in the storm, a refuge is a temporary safe resting place for those who are parched and seeking spiritual, mental and physical renewal. It provides a safe spiritual environment that uses guidelines and boundaries to create a healthy place of freedom in God.
Like preparing for a race, equipping requires disciplined training physically, mentally and spiritually. This intense and focussed practice strives toward specific goals and prepares the individual to serve sustainably in their unique giftings. This journey is carried out effectively though the gradual release of responsibility and the practice of stewardship.
Isaiah 49:8 (NIV) This is what the Lord says: "in the ime of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances.
Psalm 40:1-3 (NIV) I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
2 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV) Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
Matthew 11:28-29 (NIV) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV) Whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Hebrew 11:8-10 (NIV) By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who where heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
Isaiah 50:4-5 (NASB) The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord God has opened My ear; And I was not disobedient Nor did I turn back.
Luke 4:17-19 (NIV) ...and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NIV) Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
